Building Management Systems (BMS)

Building Management Systems (BMS)

Building management systems (BMS), otherwise known as a building automation systems (BAS), are computer-based control systems installed in buildings that control and monitor the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems.

A building management system in a commercial environment is integral to managing the comfort of the occupants and minimising the cost of doing so. These systems need to be monitored to ensure that they are working to their optimum. Given the importance of such a system it is essential that planned and preventative maintenance is regularly undertaken. Once the installation is complete, the regular servicing of the BMS will help maintain operational standards and functionality, whilst contributing to the reduction of costs over the long term, helping avoid the need for substantial repairs and system refurbishments at a later date.

At GOS, we offer maintenance and support to both new and existing customers and are happy to take on Building Management Systems installed by others as we recognise that a correctly setup and maintained system can save a business a lot of money.
